Robert Ingram

Robert Ingram has over 20 years experience in media, marketing and advertising primarily in the multicultural and corporate awareness, diversity & inclusion space. His career began as a telemarketer at U.S. Black Engineer and Hispanic Engineer magazines quickly becoming top advertising executive and eventually Associate Publisher. In 1990, Bob launched his own publication, The Urban Health Report that gained great acclaim in the healthcare field. Upon sale of his publication, he became the Chief Development Officer and Chairman of the Board of Corporate Affiliates at the National Society of Black Engineers.
Bob became the first National Help Wanted Advertising Executive at Tribune. In 2000 he was recruited by the “Boy Wonder” of the advertising industry, Keith Clinkscales to work on the launch of Savoy magazine at Vanguarde Media. Bob’s success was rewarded with the launch of Savoy Professional. In 2004, he spearheaded the first Black Enterprise Top Companies in Diversity initiative and led the marketing and sales effort that established a record 31+ pages and $1,000,000 in advertising in the December 2007 issue.
In 2004, Bob and Douglas Freeman, founded the World Diversity Leadership Summit in Prague, Czech Republic. In both 2008 and 2010 he was chosen by the Society of Human Resource Managers Association as one of the nation’s Top 100 Thought Leaders in the area of diversity & inclusion. Bob served as the VP of Diversity Best Practices at Working Mother Media and in 2008, came full circle and rejoined Career Communications Group and set records by hiring and overseeing a team that generated a record 2.5 million dollars in revenue during the most challenging market in several generations. Currently Bob is the publisher of Uptown Professional magazine, a multicultural, career focused magazine for urban professionals.
