Steven Olikara

Steven Olikara (@StevenOlikara) is Founder and President of the Millennial Action Project (MAP), a nonpartisan organization dedicated to activating young, millennial policymakers to lead a new era of collaborative governance. In this role, he organized America’s first and only bipartisan caucus for young members of Congress, the Congressional Future Caucus. MAP has expanded its bipartisan Future Caucus Coalition through U.S. state legislatures and affiliates abroad. Steven’s leadership of this movement has led to landmark achievements on entrepreneurship, social impact investing, education, the environment, and other key issues affecting millennials and future generations. Steven also serves as Senior Adviser to multi-platinum recording artist Akon's Lighting Africa, an initiative to electrify over one million homes in Africa with solar power.
Previously, Steven served as Truman Fellow at the World Bank focusing on sustainable energy and advised eight-time Grammy winner Usher’s Foundation on global youth initiatives. A nationally recognized leader, Steven’s work has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, NBC News, CNN, MSNBC and other major media outlets. Steven has been named the Millennial of the Year, an Aspen Institute Ideas Scholar, and one of the Washington’s Most Influential Leaders Under 40 by Washington Life magazine.
